Guests request songs, vote, and send a message from a phone page. The DJ sees the library match and can send an approved text to the screen.
The guest room is for one DJ. Guests open 3.powerboxdj.com and the room number. They request songs, vote, and send a text or a voice message. The DJ works those requests inside the library.
The connection icon is at the top left. The border is lime when the room is connected. The border is transparent when it is not. There is no red border. When there is no connection, the status line reads: No internet — output is paused. Click the icon to try again.
To the right of the icon is the address. Next to that is the QR code. Click the QR code to enlarge it. The file icon drags that picture to another app. Print prints it. Open opens it in the default image viewer. The note beside the QR code is a message from the DJ to every guest.
Requests shows or hides the requests. Results shows or hides the library song that matches a request. Messages shows or hides what guests sent. Filters turns a filter on the results on or off, which is how a do-not-play list stays out. Preview has three modes: Hide, Preview, and Edit. Hide is the default. Preview shows the guest page inside the app. Edit holds the settings.
A request shows the guest name, the song, positive votes, and negative votes. If the guest picked a library song, that exact song is the result. Result rows are the same library rows, with the same columns and live brushes.
A text message can be approved. Approving it sends that message and the guest name to the video output. A voice message can be played as a sample. Open voice files downloads the audio.
Edit shows the QR code, the room number, a button for a new number, and Open. A new number deletes the old room. A DJ has one room at a time. Open uses the live room as a guest.
Under that are five blocks the DJ can move, show, hide, and rename. Their ids are schedule, dj, request, songs, and messages. The default headings are Event, DJ, Request, Songs, and Messages.
Schedule is an image, a name, and a text message, for the time blocks of the event. DJ is an image and text. Phone numbers, email addresses, and links in that text are recognized. Request marks are the DJ's replies. The defaults are Played and Not Allowed. Clear requests removes every request. Guests pick from chooses which library songs a guest may select while typing, so the request lands on that exact file. Songs chooses what guests see and whether a vote is allowed. Play history can be the songs already played, the current song, the whole session, or nothing. Upcoming songs, from a playlist, can show nothing or up to 10. Messages lists the guest and the message.
